How to add AI to your Discord ticket bot, without replacing it

Keep Ticket Tool, TicketsBot, Ticket King or Helper.gg. Librarian's AI answers in their tickets when staff haven't replied in time, and steps back when they do.

Most Discord servers already have a ticket bot they're happy with: the panels are set up, staff know the commands, and the transcripts are where they should be. Moving all of that just to get AI answers isn't worth it. So Librarian doesn't ask you to. Its AI works inside the tickets your bot already opens.

Why staff-first matters

An AI that jumps into every ticket the second it opens talks over your team, and members learn to ignore it. Librarian waits. You choose how long staff get first, from no wait at all to an hour. Only if nobody has replied by then does the AI step in, and as soon as anyone from staff writes in the ticket, it stays out of that ticket for good.

What the AI does in a ticket

  • Answers from your knowledge: your rules, FAQ, announcements and documents, set up once in AI settings.
  • Asks one question when the answer depends on a detail, such as which server or which order. Never two.
  • Waits for the member to finish typing before it replies, so it never cuts in halfway through.
  • Says a staff member is on the way when your docs don't cover it, instead of guessing.

How to set it up

  • Add Librarian to your server from librarian.page and teach it your docs under AI settings.
  • Open AI Tickets → Your ticket bot and switch it on.
  • Pick where your tickets open: the category if your bot opens a channel per ticket, or the channel if it opens a thread per ticket.
  • Add Librarian's role to the roles your ticket bot adds to every new ticket, so it can see and reply in them.
  • Set how long staff get first, and open a test ticket.

There's a step-by-step guide for each of the common ticket bots: Ticket Tool, TicketsBot, Ticket King and Helper.gg. Prefer Librarian's own tickets? They work the same way, and can add an AI summary to each close log.

What it costs

AI Tickets is on every Librarian plan, Free included. Each reply the AI writes uses one AI answer from your weekly allowance, and answer packs top it up. When answers run out, it posts your hand-off message, so members are never left in silence.

Ticket Tool, TicketsBot, Ticket King and Helper.gg are separate bots made by their own teams. Librarian works alongside them and isn't affiliated with them.

Questions

Can I add AI to Ticket Tool?

Yes. Keep Ticket Tool, and switch on AI Tickets in Librarian. Point it at the category Ticket Tool opens tickets in, and add Librarian's role to the ticket's support roles.

Does it work with ticket threads?

Yes. Pick the channel the threads open in. For private threads, Librarian must be added to them, so give its role to your ticket bot's support roles.

Will the AI reply before my staff?

Only if you set the wait to 0. Otherwise staff get the time you choose first, and the AI stays out once anyone from staff writes.
