Development log: AI Automations, a website widget and a new dashboard
From 18 October to 1 November: AI Automations, AI on your website, an audit log, Ask AI, and a dashboard, home page and docs rebuilt around the AI.
Two busy weeks. Librarian is now three AI features working together, AI Assistant, AI Actions and AI Automations, with AI Tickets beside them and every essential a server needs underneath. Here is what changed between 18 October and 1 November 2026.
AI Automations
The biggest addition. An automation is a rule that runs on its own: When something happens, If some conditions are true, Then the bot does up to five things in order. It replaced the old scheduled posts, which became one kind of automation.
- Triggers: schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, once, repeating), members joining, leaving, boosting or levelling up, reactions, messages, voice, roles, threads and forum tags, and Librarian's own events: a suggestion, a ticket opened or closed, a giveaway ending, a stream going live, the AI handing a ticket to staff.
- Conditions: channels, roles, account age, level, words in the message, files and links, times and days, cooldowns, first time only, a random chance, and an AI check that answers yes or no about a message.
- Actions: post, reply, answer privately, DM, react, give or take roles, XP or coins, start threads and forum posts, lock or edit channels, wait, and three AI steps: write a message, summarize channels, or answer from your knowledge.
- ✨ Create with AI: describe the automation in a sentence and the AI drafts it for you to check and save.
- Buttons and custom commands can start automations too, and every run is logged with Undo.
Every plan has AI Automations. Free runs 3 with simple triggers and actions, Basic runs 20 and Pro runs 50 with every part. We don't sell "unlimited": every automation costs real requests to Discord, and we'd rather give honest numbers.
AI help in tickets, reworked
The AI that answers inside tickets was rebuilt around one rule: staff get the first word. You set how long they get first, from no wait to an hour. After that it answers from your knowledge, asks one question if it needs a detail, or says a staff member is on the way. It waits for the member to finish typing before it replies, and it steps back for good the moment anyone from your team writes. Ticket types give each kind of ticket its own instructions. It works inside Ticket Tool, TicketsBot, Ticket King, Helper.gg and Librarian's own tickets.
Your AI on your website
The website widget puts your server's AI Assistant on your own site as a chat bubble, with the same knowledge and personality as in Discord. Paste one line, list the websites it may answer on, and set how many questions each visitor may ask. It shows your bot's picture, starter questions, and a button to join your Discord. On Basic (2 websites) and Pro (10).
Audit log, Ask AI and Write with AI
- Audit log (Pro): deleted and edited messages, nickname changes, timeouts, kicks, bans, role changes, joins, leaves and boosts, posted to one staff channel.
- ✨ Ask AI in the dashboard: ask where a setting is, in your own words, and it explains and links straight to it. It never changes anything for you.
- ✨ Write with AI: fields such as instructions and messages can be drafted by the AI, then edited and saved by you.
A dashboard built around the AI
The dashboard was rebuilt so it matches how Librarian works. The menu now shows the four AI modules first, with AI settings shared by all of them, then the Essentials you've switched on, then Language. Switching an AI module off pauses it and keeps every setting. Moving between pages no longer flashes a loading skeleton.
A new home page and new docs
The home page now leads with the three A's, with a playable demo of each, and the docs were rewritten from scratch: 30 guides covering every feature, most with a live demo, plus setup guides for adding AI to the ticket bot you already use.
Next
More automation building blocks, more languages for the bot's messages, and whatever our testers ask for most. Ideas are welcome in our support server at librarian.page/discord.
Questions
What happened to scheduled posts?
They became part of AI Automations. A scheduled post is now an automation with a schedule as its trigger, on every plan.
Is AI Automations free?
Yes, on every plan. Free runs 3 automations with simple triggers and actions. Basic and Pro add every trigger, the AI steps, and more automations.
