Most of what moderators do by hand every week can run on its own. Here are 12 automations that servers set up with Librarian's AI Automations, each written as When → If → Then, the way the editor builds them. Every one uses parts that exist today, and each says which plan it needs.
1. A weekly events post
When: every Monday at 9:00. Then: post the week's events in #announcements, pinging @Events. Every plan.
2. A role at level 10
When: a member levels up. If: their level is at least 10. Then: give them the Regular role, and post a thank-you mentioning them. Every plan, with Leveling on.
3. A starter role for new members
When: a member joins. Then: give them the Newcomer role. Every plan.
4. A heads-up about brand-new accounts
When: a member joins. If: their account is newer than 7 days. Then: post in #staff with their name. A quiet early warning for raids and alt accounts. Every plan.
5. Thank boosters out loud
When: a member boosts the server. Then: post a thank-you in #general, mentioning them. Every plan.
6. Verify by reacting to the rules
When: a reaction is added. If: it's in #rules and the emoji is ✅. Then: give them the Member role. Every plan.
7. Know when someone leaves
When: a member leaves. Then: post their name in #staff, so you notice when regulars go. Every plan.
8. Say hello when a stream goes live
When: a stream goes live (Stream alerts). Then: post in #general that the stream is on. Every plan.
9. A welcome DM
When: a member joins. Then: send them a DM with where to start. Basic and Pro.
10. Lock a channel at night
When: every day at 23:00. Then: lock #general. A second automation at 08:00 unlocks it. Basic and Pro.
11. A weekly AI summary
When: every Friday at 18:00. Then: ✨ the AI summarizes #announcements and #updates and posts it in #weekly. Uses AI answers. Basic and Pro.
12. Answer payment questions automatically
When: a message is posted in #help. If: ✨ the AI says it's about payments. Then: ✨ the AI answers it from your docs. Uses one answer per message it checks. Basic and Pro.
Build one
- Open AI Automations in the Librarian dashboard and switch it on.
- Press New automation, or ✨ Create with AI and describe it, for example "when someone reaches level 10, give them the Regular role".
- Check the When, If and Then parts, press Run now to try it, and save.
Free runs 3 automations, Basic 20 and Pro 50. On Free, an automation that uses a Basic part waits and starts running when the server upgrades.
Questions
How do I send scheduled messages in Discord?
With an automation whose trigger is a schedule: daily or weekly at a time, monthly, once on a date, or repeating. Then add a Post action. It works on every plan.
How do I give a role automatically in Discord?
Make an automation with a trigger such as a member joining, levelling up or reacting, and a Give role action. The bot needs Manage Roles, and its role must be above the one it gives.
