Discord reaction roles and button roles
Let members pick their own roles in Discord with buttons or reactions: colours, pings, games and regions. Free with Librarian's role menus.
Updated
Role menus let members choose their own roles, so staff don't hand them out by hand. A menu is one message with a button or a reaction per role. Free on every plan.

Set it up
- Open Essentials โ Role menus and switch it on.
- Add a menu: a short name, a title and a description.
- Choose buttons or reactions. Reactions need an emoji for each role.
- Add the roles, each with its own label and emoji if you like. Switch on One role at a time for colour or region menus.
- In Discord, go to the channel it belongs in and run
/rolemenu menu:.
The bot needs Manage Roles, and its own role must be above the roles in the menu.
Questions
Buttons or reactions?
Buttons are clearer and need no emoji. Reactions suit servers that already use them. Each menu picks one.
Can members only pick one?
Yes. Switch on One role at a time, and picking a role takes away the menu's other one.
